Endless Sky
Thank you sky for being with me.

When the sun stops shining
Above my head in a warm blue sky
Hiding itself
Behind grey, mindful clouds,
I take my blooming heart in my hands
And let it shine as bright as the sun
Over me wherever I go,
Endlessly.

I want to swim
In the cerulean sky,
They bring me memories
Of the Baltic sea,
I wish to dive
In them
And pick
All the stars
From cosmos
Blue universe
To bring them home.

I created this poem being inspired by the workshop ‘Blue is the light that got lost…’ hosted by Gaia Holmes. Kings Cross Library, Halifax, England. I attended it on 09/03/24.
When the evening tints the sky
Splashing saffron on the horizon,
Lay me into the blue sea,
Let it sing me into sleep
Allow sea birds to guard my peace
Flying over me as white angels would do,
Cover me with gentle winds of South
Till a new day cracks the darkness
And golden sunrays wake up my soul.

Today the white fluffy clouds
Clinging firmly to the blue sky
Like a baby to their mother.
Motionless
No breeze playing in branches of green trees
The time seems frozen itself
And I can breathe for a moment.
I can do things I had no time to do before.

Grey clouds crawl from the horizon
Stretching themselves high in the baby blue sky
Burning their edge in silver and gold
Like huge smoke longing to have the skin of the sky.

I saw a pink flower
In the late Christmas afternoon,
It was blooming in the grey meadow
Up in the sky.
I picked it up with my eyes
And planted in my back garden.
I nourished it with drizzling silver rainwater,
Its petals were smouldering in joy vividly pink
Absorbing my love.
But its presence did not last for long
It left me in the early evening
With jingling Christmas bells
Wrapping itself into warm black clouds.
And just before I wanted to ask
Will you ever be back again?
It kissed me on my cheeks
Leaving me to wonder
Was it just a dream
I saw it now.
