Do not try these tea recipes.

These are absolutely disastrous tea recipes and I would strongly advice you not to try them.

Black tea with apple juice & salt

Recipe:

1 bag of black tea

190ml hot water

40ml apple juice

0.5 teaspoon of salt

Brewer's advice: Let the tea brew for 3 - 5 minutes.
Taste: It has strong salt with a tender apple flavour and light bitterness. It tastes specific as if it would be used seawater.
Smell: Strong apple, enjoyable

Colour: Beautifully amber, cloudy
Additional notes: If you want to reduce salt taste then use salt in smaller portions.

Assam tea has been used as an example of black tea. You can use any black tea for your brew.

As longer black tea bag will be infused in the water as stronger bitter flavour gets.

Black tea with Black Bean Garlic Sauce

Recipe:

1 bag of black tea.

230ml hot water.

10g black bean garlic sauce.

Brewer's advice: Brew the tea for 1 – 3 min for medium strength and 3 – 5 min or longer for a stronger brew.

Taste: Salted, garlic.

Smell: Black beans, garlic, tenderly sweet.

Colour: Dark Amber, cloudy with white bits in it.

Additional notes: Judged by the smell, initially, I thought that it would not be a bad brew. Thought, I was wrong about it. Interestingly bean and garlic sauce strongly overlapped bitter, favour so I could not detect bitterness.

If you want to feel the brew less salted, I assume, you should add just 5g of black bean garlic sauce. In this case, it might be able to sense bitterness as well.

I am sure that after drinking this brew, you might wish to eat something that destructs you from unpleasant flavours in your mouth.

225ml hot water

5ml oyster sauce

Brewer's advice: Brew the tea for 1 – 3 min for medium strength and 3 – 5 min or longer for a stronger brew.

Taste: Gentle oyster sauce with green tea flavours.

Smell: Tender oyster sauce

Peppermint tea with orange juice and orange bits

Recipe:

1 bag of peppermint tea.

20ml orange juice.

210ml hot water.

Brewer's advice: Soak the tea bag for 1 – 3 min for medium strength and 3 – 5 min or longer for a stronger brew and add orange juice

Taste: Orange juice was dominating the flavour leaving long-lasting freshness in the mouth.

Smell: Peppermint.

Colour: Bright amber with orange bits in it, cloudy.

Additional notes: Generally this combination did not work. I was pretty sure that orange juice is a perfect companion to every tea.

At the beginning, I tried 15ml orange juice with 215ml hot water. The brew was almost undrinkable. I was curious how it would taste with 20ml orange juice. It worked better, but still bad.

Also, the brew appearance was not the most exciting with floating orange bits in it.

This is not the brew I would repeat.
