My mother is not here
She is still in deep sleep
Eight o’clock morning
My eyes catch
A beautiful painting
In her dusty kitchen window
Where the sun melts fog
Silently
Not disturbing my mother's long-lasting rest,
The milky white velvet
Clings on trees, the silent road and a frosty field
Rebelling against the never losing power.
The frost is holding tightly on evergreen grass,
It dazzles fighting for its survival
After its lover - blue hour
Suddenly broke
Its Moonlight glittering heart.

I saw a pink flower
In the late Christmas afternoon,
It was blooming in the grey meadow
Up in the sky.
I picked it up with my eyes
And planted in my back garden.
I nourished it with drizzling silver rainwater,
Its petals were smouldering in joy vividly pink
Absorbing my love.
But its presence did not last for long
It left me in the same evening
With jingling Christmas bells
Wrapping itself into warm black clouds.
And just before I wanted to ask,
Will you ever be back again?
It kissed me on my forehead
Leaving me to wonder
Was it just a dream
I saw it now.

You were born in front of my eyes
Screaming yellow, orange and red
While lying on your mother’s innocent blue skin,
Being afraid that you won’t survive,
Wishing an angel were here.
I witnessed you growing as a beautiful day
Spreading love wherever you could reach it,
I saw how you died in front of my eyes
Being as beautiful as a newborn baby
Once you were.
